Wire
Vaping wire is a critical piece for the perfect vaping experience. There are four key points when diving into the world of vape wiring:
- Diameter of the wire (wire gauge)
Don’t be fooled, as the wire gauge number increases the diameter is smaller. For example, 28 gauge is thinner than 24 gauge but is thicker than 22 gauge. There are both odd and even number gauges. - Ramp-up time
Is the time to heat up the coils for vaporizing. The resistance of the wire is a key factor to the ramp-up time. - Resistance
There are two key factors to resistance. The length – the longer the wire the more resistance the coil will have. Secondly, the material of the wire – even though they might be the same specs the resistance will differ. - Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR)
Temperature control mods changes resistance depending on the feedback the vaping wire provides.
Varying the wire type and gauge allows for precise control over ramp time, current and wattage. Combine with Mixology Vape tools you can vary the coil diameter and number of wraps. All you need to do now is test out the different vape wire gauges till you hit that sweet spot.
